Description
Nairobi National Park (NNP) is increasingly suffering from the impacts of urbanization. The unprecedented growth of satellite towns around Nairobi National Park has encroached on wildlife dispersal routes causing diminished grazing and habitat areas for wildlife.
This project assesses historical urban growth patterns, historical seasonal rainfall trends, and gives an outlook of future rainfall changes for Nairobi. Historical seasonal rainfall over Nairobi is found to be highly variable with the period 2000–2017 implying increased intraseasonal rainfall variability.
